Firstly, let me just say that we are not all going to look like Heidi Klum did on her fourth pregnancy (damn it). There is an alien that has taken over your body temporarily and things are changing, widening and getter bigger. Hey, at least there is a prize at the end of it and you do have the rest of your life to get your body back, so remember that all these changes are temporary...mostly.
Keep in mind that all pregnancies and women are different. For instance during my first pregnancy I was quite small for the majority of the pregnancy – in fact I looked like I had swallowed a basketball up until 8 months then BAM, POW, THWACK, just like a batman movie I exploded in the last 2 weeks, had swollen feet, calves, face, hands the works. Random strangers (from now on called RS) now kicked in with various comments about my ompaloompa look. Not helpful when you are trying to keep your composure as a fitness instructor!!
I have a friend who is tiny, I feel huge standing next to her as her non-pregnancy weight is 90lbs (for those of you playing at home…she is 40 lbs lighter than me). During her first pregnancy she put on over 60lbs (yep 2/3 of her body weight) She felt fabulous, had curves and bumps in all the right places, although a few months after she gave birth and had returned to her pre pregnancy weight with ease (bitch) she was looking at photos and couldn’t believe how huge she looked. She seriously thought that she was rocking that pregnancy body. I say good on you, if you can feel fabulous during your pregnancy then go for it and rock that booty.
